As some of My readers know from our recent conversations, I am a total shoe-holic. Seriously, I adore shoes. I especially love boots. My obsession hasn't reached Imelda Marcos level, but My real-world friends know they can count on me to have an ample supply of "shoe p0rn" - i.e. stunning photos of amazing shoes that would make any girl drool with envy - saved in my bookmarks. If you get Me started talking about shoes, I can go on and on and on.

Once upon a time, I had a pair of boots I called the "bitch boots." I'm a gamer and I got them to wear as part of a costume for one of My characters. They looked a lot like this, but without the side zipper:

I found this photo on Amazon. Click here if you want to see the specs for this pair and more pictures.
Sadly, the original Bitch Boots died a couple of years ago. I wore them until they were, literally, worn out. They were scuffed, the seam where the stiletto heel meets the rest of the shoe had split, and the vinyl was starting to flake off. I hated to part with them, but they had a good, long life of 10+ years and it was time to lay them to rest. I hope to replace them someday but I haven't found a good enough excuse yet.

If any of My loyal subjects wants to buy these for Me, I would be especially pleased. I also have more boots on My wishlist. Be a good little boot slut and buy them for Me.

I have another pair of boots that I love almost as much. I recently took some new photos that I've been working on editing and plan to upload here when they're finished. In the meantime, I'll post a few outtakes for those of you who enjoy boots as much as I do.

And now for a bit of silliness involving boots. And cats. LOL, enjoy!

Erin Go Bragh

Happy St. Paddy's Day!

I hope all of you stayed warm, safe, and had a fun time. It was pretty chilly where I live, but I managed to get out of the house for a bit with my BFF, S. If you've been reading My blog, you'll remember her cat died recently. I took her to lunch at one of her favorite restaurants to cheer her up.

Started with salad

Added a sandwich and stuffed baked potato...told you I like to eat!

Apparently, I have a Thing about restaurants with aquariums. What's up with that?

Windy enough I didn't bother trying to do My hair.
At least I got her to smile. Mission accomplished!

R.I.P. Jack

I'm taking a day off from My regular schedule to help my BFF, S. Her cat, Jack, crossed the Rainbow Bridge late last night. It was a sudden loss, and she has another cat, so we had to take Jack-Jack to the vet for a necropsy to make sure it wasn't something contagious.

Jack was originally a feral cat who decided to adopt S.'s former roommate, M. When M. moved to Arizona to help care for his elderly grandmother, he left Jack with S. Jack was always a skittish kitty, thanks to his hard-knock life on the streets. But with S. he finally started to relax and be a sweet and affectionate pet.

S. and I met and became friends a little over a year ago. She'd had Jack for a couple of years and his penchant for hiding under furniture or in the kitchen cupboard was just a personality quirk she'd come to accept. Until she went out of town for a week and asked Me to look after her pets while she was away.

Within that week, Jack decided I was his human, thank you very much. When I came over to visit, he would often greet Me almost as soon as I was in the door. If I spent the night at S.'s house, he liked to sleep with Me at the foot of the guest bed. He never - and I mean never - sat on anyone's lap. Except Mine.

So, yeah, Jack and I bonded and I'm very sad to see him leave this world. But the vet said he died of natural causes, most likely a heart attack. Jack was a senior kitty. The vet estimated he was around 12 years old. So his death isn't entirely unexpected, it just came as a surprise since he'd been fine and playful earlier in the day.

Goodbye, Jack-Jack. You were a good boy and you will be missed. Catch you on the flip side, Mr. Fuzzybutt. I'll have plenty of scritches for you when we meet again. <3

Go Home Mother Nature...'re drunk.

Sunday was 60F and gorgeous. Today it's 30F and rainy.

I'm trying to stay warm with coffee and blankets.

Experiments In Pedicures

I decided to try something new with My pedi this week. I did this one like a French manicure but I'm not sure I like it. I had to let my nails get longer than I usually do for it to work.

It might be okay for summer when I'm wearing sandals but wearing winter boots is kind of uncomfortable. It was an interesting experiment, but I don't think I like it much.

Want more photos of My gorgeous feet? Get them here. I always enjoy getting new nail polish too. Check out My wishlist of beauty items to buy some for Me.
